Loose Tube

Loose Tube cables are designed for outdoor conditions. They protect the fiber by enclosing everything within polymer tubes, armor, aramid protection, and polymer sheaths. The gel is found inside the tube with the fibers and flooded around the core under the outside jacket/sheath.

K551 K551 is suitable for filling and/or flooding optical fiber cables. K551 is a synthetic gel primarily used in loose tube applications. Its higher critical yield stress and lower viscosity make it a prime candidate for higher line speeds and extreme temperatures. Compatible with all polymers and used mostly with polypropylene (PP)
K660 K660 is suitable for filling and/or flooding optical fiber cables. The critical yield stress of this product promotes it for improved drip performance, especially with the larger tube diameters. K880 K880 is a gel primarily used in loose tube fiber optic cables with tubes manufactured with polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). The lower viscosity allows this gel to be pumped at higher line speeds and still manage a very high fill rate. Very effective at colder temperatures
K880P K880P is primarily used in loose tube fiber optic cables utilizing PBT. Higher line speeds, cold temperature effectiveness, and higher temperature effectiveness as it pertains to oil separation are just a few of the qualities of this product
K880PLV K880PLV is a lower viscosity version of K880P. The lower viscosity assists in running and filling the tube at higher line speeds
K881 K881 is primarily used in loose tube applications using PBT. Lower viscosity and higher yield stress allow it to have the benefits of running at higher line speeds with an added advantage of improved drip performance. Effective at colder temperatures
LA400 LA400 is a purely synthetic thixotropic gel used in loose tube and tight buffer applications and compatible with all polymers

SFK500 SFK500 is a synthetic gel with all of the properties of the other synthetic gels, but its lower viscosity and mid-range yield stress allows it to meet greater fill rates at higher line speeds. SFK500 is compatible with all polymers, and is used primarily with loose tube and ribbon cables

Ribbon

Ribbon cable has many fiber optic fibers parallel to each other (ribbon) or rolled/wrapped within the core. As a result, the cable is larger in diameter and has a much greater count of fibers available for communication. The gel is found inside the tube with the ribbon fibers.

Optical Ground Wire (also known as OPGW) is a type of cable that is used in overhead power lines. Such cable combines the functions of grounding and communications using fiber optics. Gel for this type of cable is found surrounding the optical fibers inside the FIMT (Fiber In Metal Tube).

Downhole

Downhole cable is designed and manufactured to withstand harsh environments found associated with the oil and gas industry. Post Tension

Post Tension cables are used in concrete construction to allow thinner slabs and greater span lengths between support columns. These cables, composed of steel wires inserted into a plastic sheath, are subsequently "tensioned" and grouted after the concrete is poured. Post Tension grease is industry-certified against corrosion in salt water and varying temperatures.

Wire Lubricant quickly penetrates and ensures that a steel rope is lubricated throughout while providing a film on the outside of the rope which protects outer strands from corrosion as well as lubricating the wire rope drums and sheaves.
